Features
Profile
The Burton Paramount Snowboard has a camber profile. As such, the middle of the board is slightly bowed and will straighten out when your weight is placed down on it.
This profile allows you to make powerful turns, gives the board great precision, and delivers smooth edge control from the board’s tip and tail.
Shape
This Burton snowboard also features a twin shape, which means it’s perfectly symmetrical. This gives you a balanced ride no matter if you’re cruising along normally or riding switch.
It also provides versatility to perform all kinds of tricks, without having to worry about the flexibility or stability of the board.
Core
The core of the Burton Paramount Snowboard is an FSC Certified Super Fly II 700G Core.
It combines stronger and lighter woods to equip the board with a great deal of pop, as well as ample durability. As a plus, this build is designed to remain lightweight, so you never feel weighed down while riding across the slopes.
To make this even more precise, Burton positions the wood grain along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones. In short, by streamlining the build, this creates great edge hold and even more strength.
Base
The Burton Paramount Snowboard has a sintered WFO base, which is composed of an extra-absorbent, high-density material.
The material is also infused with a specially formulated wax, making the board very durable and ensuring it rides smoothly in all types of conditions.
Laminates
The Paramount snowboard uses a triax fiberglass laminate. This is very flexible, very responsive, and extremely lightweight.
There is also a carbon layer that runs from the tip to the tail of the board, so it’s perfect for charging through rough and cruddy snow.
Edges
The Paramount snowboard uses Burton’s patented Frostbite edges. They extend out under the bindings to create great edge hold – even on hard, icy conditions.
These edges further enhance the board’s powerful and playful nature, allowing you to plow through hard-packed snow and glide smoothly through powder.
Infinite Ride Technology
The Paramount also has a patented Burton technology known as Infinite Ride. Burton overbuilds the board, and then sends it through a machine that breaks the board in for you.
What’s the purpose of this? It equips the board with greater pop and strength – to a degree lacking in most new snowboards – and ensures both the flex and pop are maintained every time you use it.
Super Sap
This snowboard also used Super Sap Epoxy, which is a resin made of bio-based materials. Epoxies normally used on snowboards include a great deal of petroleum and, in turn, have a pretty large carbon footprint.
By using the Super Sap, Burton reduces their carbon emissions by 50%. Who doesn’t like that?
Mounting
The Paramount snowboard also includes ‘the Channel’ – built directly into it. This is a mounting system that ensures you place your feet in the ideal position on the board.
As such, it’s infinitely easier to obtain the perfect stance for you. It’s difficult to enjoy a fun board when you feel uncomfortable, so the Channel allows you to control where your feet go for optimum performance and optimum comfort.

The edges and laminate ensure the board can hold up to even the toughest conditions without breaking or chipping. Even if you ride primarily on icy terrain, you should enjoy this board for many seasons to come.
This is great news for the versatile snowboarder or those looking for a board they won’t have to compromise with. The Burton Paramount won’t keep you bored, you’ll be able to tackle a variety of conditions thanks to its versatility.
While some snowboards back down from ice and crud, the Paramount allows the rider to take on the elements even when conditions are less than ideal. There’s no FOMO with this board.
Super Responsive
We’re happy to report that this snowboard is wonderfully responsive. As soon as you move your body and legs to execute a turn, perform a trick, or power up to charge through a bank of cruddy snow, the Paramount will be right there with you.
Riding hard is not necessary to achieve the performance you’re after. It’s ready and waiting for whatever you’re willing to throw at it.
If you know how to handle a snowboard, it won’t take a deal of effort to get this snowboard to respond to you. This in part thanks to its solid edge grip, lightweight construction and amazing edge hold. It’s basically built to listen to the prompts of the rider so you’ll have less to worry about.
It will be easy to have a ton of fun while riding with confidence on the Burton Paramount Snowboard.
