If you are in the market for something a bit different than your average skis, you should consider skiboards – and more specifically, Head’s Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards.

Skiboards are rather comparable to skis, but give you a slightly different experience. They encompass the abilities of skiing and snowboarding (as the name suggests) by providing you with two ‘skis’ that are shaped more like snowboards.

Your skiing boots attach to them as you’d normally expect, while the altered shape to the ‘boards’ provides you with new features that skis or snowboards alone just can’t touch.

These Head Razzle Dazzle 94 skiboards are very stable, will let you go pretty fast, and are great for beginners.

Unfortunately, not everyone speaks of a good experience with these skiboards. A number of users found they were not good on powder, and others believed they weren’t suited for the more advanced rider.

Nonetheless, before you make your final decision on whether this set is ideal for you, let’s take a more in-depth look at the Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards.

Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards: The Details

In a Nutshell

  • Lengths: 94 cm.
  • Sidecut: 120/90/118 for 94 cm.
  • Profile: Asymmetrical Twin.
  • Turn Radius: 4.2 m. for 94 cm.
  • Level: Beginner-Intermediate.
  • Type: Freestyle.

Features

Asymmetrical Twin

The profile of the Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards is an asymmetrical twin design.

What does this mean? It will be far easier for you to maneuver both forward and backward while on the slopes. It also allows for a semi-aggressive rider, while still keeping you stable, balanced, and damp.

Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate rider, you will be able to move and control these boards without much effort at all.

Pre-Mounted Bindings

The Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards also come with the binding pre-mounted, so you don’t have to worry about mounting them yourself or getting them mounted by someone else.

They come ready to use. Included with these blades are Head/Tyrolia Sympro 100 Release bindings, which are similar to ski bindings in that you simply step into them and take off.

Additionally, they’re easy to release, ensuring that if you fall, you are far less likely to injure yourself. These are always a great feature!

Graphite Base

These Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards also have a graphite base, making them versatile, very durable, and great at reaching high speeds.

The graphite base, along with the wood core and the parabolic shape of the boards, enhance carving and are more stable than other skiboards on the market.

You will not only have a smooth ride, but a stable one too. Furthermore, you’ll be able to carve those nice lines into hard snow in a way most skiers love. There is really no compromise here.

Tip Protectors

One of the more important features of the Head Razzle Dazzle 94s is the tip protectors.

These protectors are on both the front and rear tip, ensuring that if you knock, bump, or ding the tips of your blades, they won’t break or chip.

These protectors are simply a little grey piece that curves around the ends, making sure these blades last far longer than one season.

Snakeskin Topsheet

To ensure these skis hold up to a variety of terrain, conditions, and many hours on the slopes, Head has incorporated a snakeskin topsheet for added protection.

This aids in the overall durability of your skiboards, ensuring that they withstand scuffs and bumps.

The Positives

Fast

Multiple users noted just how fast these Razzle Dazzle Skiboards can be. If you have a need for speed and are looking to race your friends down the slopes, these are the ones for you.

The graphite base is primarily to thank for this ability, ensuring you can reach top speeds while still remaining stable on the snow. These will have you zooming past your buddies in no time at all!

Some skiers tend to stray from skiboards thinking that the design will slow them down. Not with the Razzle Dazzles!

They’ll keep up with the fastest of them on the slopes and they’ll even help you tackle those harder slopes with your speedy style.

Good for Beginners

The Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards are also great for beginners. If you are new to skiing or skiboards (or have only used them occasionally in the past), this set will be an ideal match for you.

They are easy to maneuver and control, but will also remain stable in the majority of terrains and at most speeds, so you don’t have to worry about wiping out should you make one wrong move.

If you hope to break into the sport or want to broaden your skill level with a new set, you can invest in these and grow with them. The learning curve is smooth!

Stable

Speaking of stability, a number of users appreciated this feature most of all. The graphite base and the asymmetrical twin profile are to thank for this ability.

The profile ensures that, even if you are an aggressive rider, you won’t be bouncing all over the place, while the base contributes to the skiboards’ resilience on nearly every kind of terrain.

You won’t have to worry about feeling insecure at all! If you’re looking to build confidence on the slopes without your equipment holding you back, you won’t have to fret with these skiboards.

Durable

The Head Razzle Dazzle Skiboards certainly won’t need replacing after one season. Multiple users noted how durable and long-lasting they are.

This is due to the construction, but more specifically to the tip protectors on the front and back. They make it so the ends do not break or chip even after hard use.

No one wants to have to buy new skis – or, in this case, skiboards – every season and with these Razzle Dazzles, you won’t have to.

Good on Most Terrain

Anything from groomers to moguls to more advanced hard terrain won’t stop these boards in their tracks.

The Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards can keep up with your new terrain easily, providing a smooth and stable ride on nearly any kind of snow.

When it comes to less than ideal conditions, you can count on these skis to keep you going on hard snow and even in slushier, icier conditions.

So long as you avoid powdery snow, you will be good in good hands wherever you’re skiing.

Great at Handling Turns

Since these skis are easy to maneuver, turns should (and will) be a breeze. These skiboards are super responsive, making it easy to make those turns without hesitation.

The tail of these skiboards are narrower than others, allowing you to turn with ease. And when you’re ready to kick things up a notch and take on some fast turning on moguls, these skiboards won’t let you down.

These skiboards have a wider body overall, making carving just as simple no matter the skill level. This is the perfect board to practice harder turns with so you gain confidence like a pro.

Safety In Mind

One thing’s for sure, these skiboards are designed to be safe. Given their construction, stability and durability you won’t have to worry about getting too banged up with these.

They work with the rider and is great at building confidence. While they’re safe, it doesn’t take away from all the fun that you can have with these boards.

They’re ready to take what you throw at them thanks to their sturdy build, and they easily cooperate with the skier whether you’re coasting on groomers or getting poppy on moguls.

Lightweight

These may have a different design than your average skis, but that doesn’t add any more weight to them. They’ll be easy on your legs and feet while its lightweight build also contributes to its speed and maneuverability.

Lighter equipment makes it all the easier to transport your skis, whether you’re lugging it to your car or from the chalet. You’ll be able to get more out of your days on the snow before becoming tired and worn out.

The Negatives

Not for Advanced Riders

Our testers specifically noted that these are not ideal for advanced users.

More experienced riders may grow bored with the Razzle Dazzle rather quickly, as they are truly below the performance level a skilled user may desire.

While they can take an aggressive rider, they are not made for an aggressive rider 100% of the time.

These skiboards are much better suited for a beginner who needs a little help along the slopes, rather than for a more skilled user who knows what they’re doing.

Bad in Powder

Nearly every tester also stated that these skiboards are not to be used in powdery snow. They will not float and will almost immediately sink upon exposure to fresh snow.

The tips will take a nosedive, to be frank. The construction and the shape were not made to go in light snow, so that will not be a pleasant ride.

With that said, if you ski (or ride) mainly in powder, it’s wise to look elsewhere. There are plenty of skis and skiboards on the market that are great for this terrain.

Overall Verdict

After going over all the positives and negatives, we do recommend the Head Razzle Dazzle 94 Skiboards. They have some amazing features that any skier would love to enjoy.

They are great in most terrains, remain stable even at high speeds, and are great for beginners.

As long as you don’t take them out right after a blizzard when the snow is all powder, and so long as you’re not an advanced rider, these will have you flying down the slopes in no time at all.
